Last week I had the pleasure and honor of meeting and talking to Frank Fenton, one of the founding fathers of ARTSBRIDGE. Since moving to the area, I had heard from many people that Mr. Fenton was someone I needed to meet, and once in his office, I saw why.

Fenton Art Glass Company continues to make handmade glass much the same way since it began in 1905. They continue to be a premier producer of handcrafted glassware and are world-renowned with a stellar reputation in the glass business. As I wandered through the showroom before meeting with Mr. Fenton. I was astounded at the intricate beauty of each original piece of glass. I wasn't able to go through the tour, but I fully intend to do so. Glassmaking has become more popular in schools that have American Craft programs and many people worldwide have come to watch the glassmaking process at Fenton Art Glass Company. So if you've never visited Fenton Glass, do yourself a favor and plan to spend the afternoon!

Frank Fenton is also a dedicated philanthropist and started the Fenton Foundation to support the community in a myriad of ways. Yes, it was truly an honor to meet and talk to Frank Fenton, and I intend to visit him again soon!
