Fenton fans are abuzz over the one-of-a-kind Black Rose Basket to be auctioned on eBay to benefit ALSA!
Don’t miss this very special opportunity to own a unique Black Rose Basket, bearing a bumblebee and flower pattern created and handpainted by Fenton designer CC Hardman.
The eBay auction begins at noon Eastern Time on Tuesday, March 15, 2005.
The Fenton family chose this unique piece to auction exclusively on eBay, with the proceeds to benefit the ALSA. The ALS Association is the only national non-profit voluntary health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS. Often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks nerve cells and pathways in the brain and spinal cord. There is no known cure for ALS.
This one-of-a-kind Basket began as a gold Ruby core cased in Milk glass; a Black ring was added to the six-point crimp, and a Black handle was skillfully twisted and applied by veteran basket-handler Butch Wright. This Black Rose Basket bears the signatures of all ten Fenton family members, the signature of CC Hardman and the basket handler mark of Butch Wright, making this handcrafted piece of artisan glass even more desirable. Only one such Basket exists!
